The Trophy Anglers Guild is happy to announce the addition of Lilley’s Landing Resort and Marina on Lake Taneycomo in Branson, Missouri, to our list of Certified Lodges.
What does it mean to be a Certified Lodge of the Trophy Anglers Guild? It means a few things. It means that we have stayed at, fished with, and tested the lodges accommodations, customer service, and fishing expertise and feel good about putting our stamp of approval on the lodge. It also means that if you fish with one of their guides, any qualifying fish you catch can be submitted to the Trophy Anglers Guild, free of charge, and that you can get your Certificate of Recognition and your membership decals at the end of your trip! It also means that if you are fishing on their body of water and you catch a qualifying fish, you can make the run to their marina where they can measure the fish for you and provide you with your Certificate and decals right then and there, also free of charge. We seek out lodges that have proven to be extremely knowledgable about the fishery and take particular pride in their accommodations and treating their customers right.
For anyone who knows of Lilley’s Landing, they know these things to be evident and true. For more than three decades, Lilleys’ Landing Resort & Marina has loved outfitting anglers to fish Lake Taneycomo, which offers great trophy trout fishing. The marina is open to the public and offers jon, bass, grizzly and pontoon boat rentals for half-day or full-day outings (two-hour trips subject to availability.) Fishing from their dock is free, or they can also arrange trips with their extremely knowledgable guides. The fly and tackle shop is loaded with fly fishing flies and the material to make them, rods and reels, lures, tackle, bait, snacks and apparel.
The cabins at Lilley’s Landing are comfortable and the grounds are beautiful, nestled between gently sloping pasture land and the 300-foot bluffs on the opposite bank. They offer a centralized playground for children, a pavilion for events, a beautiful swimming pool, and have a beautiful deck off of the fly and tackle shop that faces the river and pleads to be sat upon while enjoying a frosty beverage.
The owner, Phil Lilley, is “good people,” as they say. His down-to-earth personality and calm nature make him a pleasure to be around and his “hands-on” approach to managing the lodge ensure that everything is taken care of and people have a pleasurable experience, leaving happy.
We are very happy to have Phil and Lilley’s Landing Resort and Marina on board as a Trophy Anglers Guild Certified Lodge. For more information about Lilley’s and to book a stay, go to www.LilleysLanding.com. Be sure to tell them you are there because of the Trophy Anglers Guild!
