There are certain characters you come across that are larger than life. Most of the time they are seen in film and are the concept of a creative mind. Forrest Gump, comes to mind, along with others. In rare occasions, the characters are real people; people that leave a lasting impression of endearing qualities and memorable interactions. We happen to know one such a character, and he answers to the name “HotDawg.”
Tim “HotDawg” Curtis, a member of the Arkansas Outfitters and Guides Association, has been guiding in the Bull Shoals area for over 38 years. He started guiding at 16 and knows, literally, every inch of water on Bull Shoals Lake, Bull Shoals White River Tailwater, and the trophy blue ribbon smallmouth stream, Crooked Creek. He can put you on trophy largemouths, smallmouths, rainbow trout, or brown trout. He doesn’t sell fishing trips, he sells “Catching Trips.” He is one of the top 5 guides on the Bull Shoals waters and has been featured in numerous fishing magazines and papers such as Outdoor Life, In-Fisherman, Twin Lakes Outdoors, Dakota Country Magazine, and others. His resume of trophy fish is lengthy and, above all else, he is a pleasure to fish with. He is sure to keep you smiling and laughing the entire trip.
We are very excited to welcome Tim “HotDawg” Curtis to the Trophy Anglers Guild list of Certified Outfitters.
